What is Darwinia Network

Darwinia Network is a decentralized cross-chain bridge network building on Substrate, which is the “Web 3.0 cross-chain bridge hub” of the cross-chain ecology.
Сonnects to Polkadot, Ethereum, TRON and other heterogeneous chains by cross-chain transfer of assets and remote chain calls.
Darwinia also serves as an important infrastructure for upgrading single-chain applications to multi-chain versions, including Defi, Game, DEX, NFT market.

For outstanding work in the Substrate Builder program, the Darwinia network was officially awarded the Level 2 Parity badge. Products and tools developed by Darwinia have been rewarded with three W3F grants.

Darwinia bridge distinguishes from other bridges in terms of quality and how decentralized the bridge is, could carry high-value cross-chain asset transaction.

Darwinia Network Collaboration

The wiki was started and is maintained by the Darwinia Foundation.

A large part of the material currently focuses on Darwinia directly but it is not opposed to covering informational material for community projects.

How to Contribute

You can contribute to the wiki on the darwinia-network/docs GitHub repository. Every page is a MarkDown file, which is an easy to learn syntax extension to plain text that makes creating links, rendering images, and nice-looking formatting simple.

Each page has an “Edit” button on the top right corner. By clicking it you are taken to the GitHub sign-in page, where you can either log in or create an account.

Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the GitHub built-in text editor where you can make your edits directly. When you’ve completed your changes, you can add any specific details on what was changed and commit to a new branch to create a new Pull Request to the repository. From there one of the maintainers will review your changes, and either merge them or request changes.

Guideline and Rules for Contributing

There are a few basic ground-rules for contributors:

  1. No --force pushes or modifying the Git history in any way.
  2. Pull requests are preferred to issues, especially for small changes such as typos. Issues should be used for generic or broad-based changes or missing content. Suggestions and requests are encouraged.
  3. Only use non-master branches.
  4. Significant modifications, even by contributors, ought to be subject to a pull request to solicit feedback from other contributors.
  5. Pull requests to solicit feedback are encouraged for any other non-trivial contribution but left to the discretion of the contributor.
  6. Contributors should attempt to adhere to the prevailing MarkDown style, language, and layout.
  7. Correct grammar should be used at all times. Pull requests with typos will not be merged until fixed.
  8. Care should be taken to remain as objective and informative as possible. There should be no editorializing, and external bias should not be present.
  9. We use Docusaurus to build this website. You can generate a preview on your local copy by referring to this guide, but for simplicity we also have a bot which runs this for us in your PRs.

how to help the Darwinia community

how to help the Darwinia community

Content Creator

Help educate and spread the word about our community out in the broader public through writing informative and insightful articles, creating video content, blogs, graphic design, podcasts, or any other artistic production form.

Meetup Organizer

Host online or offline Darwinia meetups, technical workshops or hackathons, or connect with local blockchain enthusiasts to help educate them about Darwinia and discover potential new users or partners through discussion and communication.

Translator

Translate and share Darwinia-related content in different languages and expand Darwinia’s ecological applications to non-English speaking communities.

Moderator

Help keep Darwinia official social media channels (Telegram, Twitter, Medium, etc.) informative, productive, and create a pleasant, sustained, and viable environment for community members in multiple languages across various platforms.

Beta Tester

Explore and troubleshoot Darwinia Ecological Applications and submit detailed bug reports according to our requirements. The Darwinia development team has also pioneered a number of products prior to the launch of the Web3.0 SDK as well such as Itering ID.

Powering the Darwinia Network

RING

The native tokens for Darwinia Network is RING, RING can be used as gas for transactions. Gas include transaction fees, contract execution fees, network bandwidth charges, storage fees, and more.

KTON

To encourage users to make long term commitments and pledge, users can choose to lock RING for 3–36 months in the process of Staking, and the system will offer a KTON token as reward for users participating in Staking.

RING IN CIRCULATION

Main Sources of Circulating RING Supply

Community Airdrop (Ethereum & Tron)
Sold via Evolution Land Game as early-day funding mechanism (Ethereum & Tron)

RING is divided into three kinds of types: ERC20, TRC20 and Darwinia Network native RING before Genesis Generation

REVENUE MODEL

Network Expense

Validators’ Incentive (Inflation)

Fishermen’s Incentive from Adversaries’ Slash (self-sustain)

Network Revenue

Cross-chain Asset Transfer Service Fee (per TX) as Revenue

Verification Game Slash Tax as Revenue

Revenue Pool is used to buy back RING and burn

Darwinia uses the same control mechanism as Polkadot.

This is a guarantee that the majority of participants will be able to manage the network.
from the developers of this network, the game Evolution Land was released.
I believe that the project has a great future, so I would not advise anyone to skip this project, it is at least worth your attention
